Whether you’re familiar with Japanese summer festivals or experiencing one for the first time, Natsu Matsuri is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy Japanese food, music, traditions, and support the Japanese community right here in Kansas City.

100% of the proceeds will directly support Yukari KC’s future events and programs.

当日は、20店以上の日本人経営・日本にゆかりのあるローカル出店者が参加し、日本の屋台グルメやライブパフォーマンス、盆踊り、夏祭りならではのゲームなど、さまざまな催しをお楽しみいただけます。

日本の夏祭りに馴染みのある方はもちろん、初めて体験する方にも、日本の食や音楽、伝統文化に触れながら、カンザスシティの日本コミュニティをサポートしていただける機会です。

また収益の100％はYukari KCの今後のイベントや活動のために活用されます。

Kansas City日本祭開催！

今年は、日本の伝統文化のひとつである「相撲」にスポットを当て、特別なプログラムをお届けします。

日本の長い歴史と伝統を受け継ぐ相撲の世界を、ぜひ間近で体験してください。元プロ力士のTatsuoshoとShogeki Sumo Teamがカンザスシティに上陸し、迫力ある相撲の実演や観客参加型のプログラムを通して、相撲の魅力をお届けします。

相撲以外にも、長年カンザスシティで親しまれてきたJapan Festivalならではの魅力が盛りだくさん。本格的な日本食、文化展示、ショッピング、武道、音楽やダンスのパフォーマンス、ファミリー向けアクティビティ、体験型ワークショップなど、さまざまな角度から日本文化を楽しむことができます。

Japanese Language Class at Aikijuku Dojo!

Aikijuku Dojo’s next term to study Japanese Language Classes will start on September 10th, 2026. Workbooks will be offered for sale to assist with your learning journey. Please reach out to Aikijuku Dojo if you have any questions.

Early bird discounted tuition of $130 for the term is available until August 30th. After that date, regular tuition will be $150 for the term. Availability of course materials cannot be guaranteed if registration occurs later than August 30th. So sign up now if you’d like to join!

Madoka Koguchi in Jesus Christ Superstar!

Our co-founder & director of Yukari KC is currently playing the role of Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar at Music Theater Heritage!

A rock musical, Jesus Christ Superstar retells the biblical events that led to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ from the perspective of his betrayer, Judas Iscariot. The production runs through September 13th(Sun).

*Madoka will be out of the show on August 30th(Sun) for Natsu Matsuri

縁KCの共同創設者・代表である小口窓花が、現在Music Theater Heritageで上演中のミュージカル 「Jesus Christ Superstar」に、マグダラのマリア役として出演中！

ロック・ミュージカル「Jesus Christ Superstar」は、イエス・キリストの磔刑へと至る出来事を、裏切り者ユダ・イスカリオテの視点から描いた作品です。

公演は9月13日（日）まで。迫力ある音楽とパフォーマンスで描かれる、世界的に有名なロック・ミュージカルをぜひ劇場でお楽しみください！
